About Annick's Old World Coffee

Annick is dedicated to providing exceptional quality products and services from the high-end specialty coffee market to the everyday consumer through organizational fundraising and other wholesale distribution.   Along with our Roastmaster and other suppliers, our mission is to respect, value and serve owners, customers, employees, the community, and all others who "are in relation to us"; to be deserving of their trust; to distinguish ourselves in products and policies that honor and preserve our natural work. We wish to build a relationship with customers and with each other that extend beyond product usage and include honest communication, education, and the dissemination of applicable information and knowledge.

Annick has a specification for coffee, tea and hot cocoa that establishes our own line and sets exacting standards.  Annick is not just a distributor.  We have a hand in the formulation of our own trademarked blends and in packaging and marketing of some of the other product line.  Using our own formulations for some of the product line, the exclusive nature of our and direct relationship with the source allows for an exceptional grade product that is priced fairly in all of our marketing venues. 

Timonthy Tulloch Cupping CoffeeOur Master Roaster is originally from Britain, has provided his customers expedient, cost effective delivery of the finest Arabica coffees, ground or whole bean, fresh from the roaster. Most of this coffee is uniquely characterized by direct purchasing of coffee from plantations worldwide, the European method of slow roasting, air cooling rather than quenching, smoking of the coffee at the end of the roast to give full aroma, and packaging the coffee in our patented valve bags while still warm from the roaster to ensure freshness. 

We offer certified Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, Bird Friendly and Environmentally Friendly coffees to you. All of our coffees are hand-selected, micro-roasted, European-style, and shipped-fresh. 

Thomas checking the roast progressMost of the green coffee is directly from the farmer.  Our Roastmaster and his buyers are often traveling in search of the world's best specialty grade coffees, which can meet our high standards. Production begins everyday around 5 AM to roast your coffee to perfection and ship it on a timely basis. And these guys know their stuff.  Our roaster has produced over 20 million pounds of coffee. That's not much for the big automated roasters of grocery store coffee, but for us roasting small hand batches of around a hundred pounds at a time, that's a tremendous amount of roasting experience. The picture to left shows checking the progress of a roast on a 1961 3-bag Probat. All 3 of the roasters are 1960s Probats which allows us to insure a true old-world European roast and flavor.
